Sean Forbes
Bio
Sean Forbes is a deaf rapper, drummer, songwriter, and communicator. Forbes' music is inspired by many differnet genres. His parents are musicians and music was an instrumental part of his life from a young age. Forbes describes the first heard hip-hop, saying "I was just like, ‘Wow!!' It was finally something that I could fully enjoy. The way rap music is set up, I was able to really follow the beat and the drums. And the lyrics are easier for me to follow, too, because rapping almost sounds like a drummer. It's like drumming with words." Forbes has been featured on NPR, CNN, and the Ovation Network and he has accumulated over one million views on Youtube.

Video Description
The video begins with a close-up of a man’s hand in front of his face as he signs. The word “Hate” is written in all capital letters in the center of the screen. The man moves his hand down to his side, revealing his upper-body as the name “Sean Forbes” appears on screen. The man wears dark sunglasses, a black shirt, and has tattoos on his right arm. As the sound of drums kick in, the man begins rapping. As he raps, the man also signs. The words he says appear in the center of the screen in large, white, all-capitalized letters. During the chorus of the song, the music intensifies and other voices join with the man’s. The chorus of the song goes “Hate / go away / in my home you have no place / hate / go away / in this world you have no place / go away.” Towards the end of the song, the music and the man’s singing slow in tandem. The large white letters are replaced by smaller, lowercase, white letters along the bottom of the screen.
